About Me

I am currently teaching a Year 7 and class of 42 students, and as of Term 3, 2018, it is alongside Jocelyn Beaton.

In 2017, I taught in a single cell classroom with 26 students.

In 2016 I taught alongside Louise Turner in a Year 7 and 8 collaborative class with 49 students, which increased to 54 students by the end of the year.  We were (and I am still) a fully digital class with all students having access to a device for their learning.

This will be my 7th year teaching at Turaki School and my 11th year as a teacher.

I am on the ACE (Assessment, Collaborative and e-Learning) and PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) teams and I also hold a Unit for each of these roles.

Over the last few years we have done a lot of Professional Learning around
- Digital Learning
- Student Agency
- Student directed learning
and this year we are participating in Literacy Professional Learning.

I worked with the Virtual Professional Development (VPLD) programme from 2013 to 2016, where I was mentored by Merryn Dunmill.
